INDUCTION PROGRAMS

From September 7th to September 16th, CMS College of Education conducted many programs for the first-year B.Ed. students. They introduced seminars and cultural events for us, which helped us easily mingle with peer groups and adapt to a new environment. As a part of this, a seminar was facilitated on September 11 based on the topic of child development by Kumutha R, assistant professor of the department of social science at CMS College of Arts and Sciences. Her class was very informative, and we gained deep knowledge about the mental development of a child and the appropriate methods for teaching. She made the seminar section more interesting through several games and activities.
On September 12, 2023, the TLM workshop conducted another session by the agastya volunteering team. The two highly talented volunteers taught us how to teach students without making them feel bored. They introduce various learning techniques by using different kinds of materials. They introduce various themes, and through these games, we can change the bored feel of students. From this session, I was able to understand many active learning techniques that are useful for me in my teaching career.
On September 15, 2023, the honorable principal of CMS College of Education, Dr. Leonard Ashok sir, organized the first cultural event for first-year students. That was one of the great events for all of us because it was a great platform to showcase our own talents. I am so grateful for that event because I got a chance to dance with my friends at it. To me, it was one of the most memorable days at CMS College of Education.
